5 Makeup Revolution Products You Should Try At Least Once

Hey, pretty people!

If this isn’t your first time snooping around my blog, you most likely have noticed that Makeup Revolution is one of my favorite drugstore brands.

The British brand has been around for a while, and is mostly known to the public because of their dupes. Their eyeshadows are among the most popular items you can find at the drugstore, but it is fair to say there are many other valid products to choose from!

I have decided to dedicate this post exclusively to face products. I plan on giving eyeshadows their own private post, which is why I left this one open for other items.

The products we’ll talk about today are going to be only 5. These are the ones that really stole the cake for me, and the ones I certainly believe to be worth trying at least once.

However, before jumping straight into the list, I want to make a little disclaimer.

With this post, I am by no means saying that these five are the only makeup products that are worth the money when it comes to Revolution; these are merely the ones I think many people would appreciate and I, personally, would re-purchase again. This doesn’t mean the absence of a product makes it bad, and doesn’t even mean I did not like it.

Ok, are you curious to find out which 5 Makeup Revolution products you should try out at least once?

Let’s get started!

Foundation Drops

Foundation Drops is one of my absolute favorite foundation formulas, and one that I find criminally underrated as well. I also featured it in my Top 5 Drugstore Foundations post.

This is a lightweight and breathable formulation that creates a natural finish on the skin. It is just perfect for people who like a modulable coverage that still ends up looking like skin.

It has a dropper applicator that should make blending easier overall, but I did have some difficulties to get accostumed to it. In fact, it did take me a while to get used to how much product it would pick up and lay down, but once I did I couldn’t get enough of it!

A kind of annoying downside to this product is the fact that it holds slightly less formula than the average foundation. You’ll get a total of 18ml here, while the average total is around 30ml. This isn’t exactly a big deal, but I do believe it is something worth mentioning.

Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer

I have literally lost count of how many bottles of Conceal & Define concealer I went through; both the regular and supersize version, mind you.

This formulation is something I never seem to get enough of, so much so that I have decided to purchase darker ones to use as bronzer. Moreover, it is a pretty close dupe of Tarte’s infamous Shape Tape concealer.

It offers a full coverage finish, which can make it feel a little heavy. Makeup Revolution also launched a hydrating version of it, which I believe would take a little bit of that heavy feeling away.

Overall, I do believe this product is 100% worth the money!

Skin Kiss Highlighter

I own a total of 3 Skin Kiss Highlighters; Golden Kiss, Star Kiss and Dream Kiss. There are even more colors to choose from, but these are the only ones I ended up buying over time.

These highlighters are incredibly rich, both in consistency and pigmentation, and their size is quite the generous one. A total of 0.49 Oz., about 15 grams. It will last you for months, even years!

They can turn out to be ever so slightly powdery, and I would advise you to proceed with caution and layer the more colorful one bit by bit. This will allow you to build somewhat of a ‘natural’ finish.

Pro HD Powder Contour Palette

The Pro HD Powder Contour Palette is one of the oldest products from Makeup Revolution. However, I believe it is one of the best they have ever made!

This contour kit is one of the most complete ones you’ll find, although it doesn’t offer as many varieties as I would hope. I do believe there is a need for one for deeper skintones, and I hope Makeup Revolution will look into that.

In the palette you’ll find a total of three contour shades, three setting powders, one bronzer and one highlighter. These are all of the shades you need to complete a face routine, which is what makes this product so worth it in my opinion!

I have never ended up reviewing it, but I did feature it in my Products I Keep Buying post. I will possibly review it once I finish this palette and open up the new one!

Precise Brow Pencil

The Precise Brow Pencil by Makeup Revolution is one of the most recent additions to my makeup kit. To be honest, I didn’t really think would work for me as well as it is.

In fact, when I featured this product in my most recent Drugstore Makeup Haul, I stated I was fairly certain I had gotten the wrong shade. However, upon trying it, I have to say I actually got a perfect match!

This eyebrow pencil has two sides, one with the brush and the other one with the actual formulation. The pencil is quite thin, which is perfect to fill in details and achieve perfectly sharp brows. I have been using it so much, I am probably going to run out very soon!

I haven’t really written a review for it as of yet; however, I am not excluding posting one in the future. Sound off in the comments if you’d like to see that.
