Hey, pretty people!

I have already brought a DIY Lush Tonic quite recently (here’s the recipe to make your own Tea Tree Water copycat). It’s not exactly a new formula for me, but this time we are going to take a slightly different spin.

The Breath of Fresh Air tonic is truly the perfect refreshing solution to rescue your skin this summer, and also a valid choice for more sensitive skin types.

This spray format is quite practical in my opinion, and is just great for people who are on the go. However, don’t feel pressured to use a spray bottle! You can simply pour the formula in a jar and use cotton pads to apply it.

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Lush Breath of Fresh Air tonic?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1/2 cup of Distilled Water
  • 1/2 cup of Rose Water
  • 4 Tablespoons of Aloe Vera Gel
  • 15 drops of Rose Essential Oil
  • 10 drops of Patchouli Essential Oil
  • 5 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
  • 1-2 Vitamin E Oil tab(s)
  • A spray bottle (or another preferred container)

Before jumping straight into the crafting process, let’s quickly go over these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.

ROSE WATER

Rose Water is a fairly popular tonic solution, and one of the cheapest to come by. This liquid acts as the perfect astringent, minimizing pores and helping balance the skin’s natural pH. Moreover, it can help reduce inflammation, redness and acne.

ALOE VERA GEL

Yet another hugely popular skincare ingredient, Aloe Vera Gel is truly a miracle worker. It can help hydrate the skin while gently exfoliating it, and is a great asset to fight acne and inflammation. Moreover, it will help enhance the smell of the essential oils.

ROSE ESSENTIAL OIL

Rose Essential Oil is one more ingredient that aims at hydrating your skin, and works wonderfully for dry skin types. It will help you fight acne and keep breakouts at bay, as well as efficiently fight redness.

PATCHOULI ESSENTIAL OIL

Patchouli Essential Oil is a pretty good ingredient to pick if you aim at fighting inflammation and redness. Also, it’s perfect for either dry or oily skin since it can help balance your natural oil production. Moreover, it can help fade scars and wounds.

ROSEMARY

Rosemary Essential Oil is one of the most fragrant liquids in this product, but I promise its strong odor won’t bother you once you have completed the crafting process. This oil is perfect to detoxify and cleanse the skin, which means it will help fight acne and bacteria. Moreover, it can help moisturize the skin as well.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, let’s spend a few words on Vitamin E Oil. Truthfully, this ingredient is here to make sure you can store your DIY Lush Breath of Fresh Air tonic outside of the fridge without it going bad. If you don’t plan on adding it, make sure to store the product in your fridge. However, even if you do add it, make sure to keep an eye on it!

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to add the Aloe Vera gel into the water and stir the two together. You want the gel to melt into the water, so make sure to take your time here!

Once your liquid is all nice and smooth, pour the rose water into it. Then, add the essential oils drops.

Stir the mixture for a couple more minutes, to make sure the ingredients really got to know each other.

Lastly, pour the liquid in your container.

And your DIY Lush Breath of Fresh Air tonic is all ready to go!
