Hey, pretty people!

Spring is here, and it’s the perfect time to experiment with lighter formulations – especially with creams!

When the weather gets a little warmer, wearing a full face of makeup can turn into quite the unpleasant experience. You surely don’t want it to melt down on you!

Using creams hits the right spots for me. They’re light and don’t require heavy powders to be set in place. Also, you can make your own at home!

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY cream blush?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • A cheap clear lip balm, preferibly flavorless
  • An eyeshadow of your choice; actually, I used a blush that unfortunately broke a few days prior to making this project
  • A container of choice
  • A pot and a stove

Before jumping into the crafting process, I just wanted to spend a few words on which container you could possibly choose.

SMALL DETAILS!

While I decided to go for the same stick container when I crafted my DIY Cream Highlighter, I made the decision of ditching it here.

I personally don’t find it any more practical than a regular container, since the stick format doesn’t really appeal to me when it comes to blushes.

In fact, I went for the very same container as the blush I used here. However, feel free to pick whichever container you feel most comfortable with!

Alright, let’s get crafting!

The first thing you want to do is take out all of your lip balm from its container and toss it into the pot. Then, turn the heat on and allow it to melt down.

While the balm is melting, it would be good to break down your eyeshadow/blush into a super fine powder. Be careful while using knives and such, though!

As soon as the lip balm is almost completely liquid, it’s time to add the powder to it and mix the two together. This step is going to be super annoying, but you want to keep stirring to ensure an evenly distribution of pigment into the formula.

Once you feel satisfied with your liquid, it’s time to pour it back into the container and place it in your fridge. Allow it to cool down for a couple of hours, at least.

And your DIY Cream Blush is all ready to go!
