Hey, pretty people!

Affirmations are becoming increasingly popular in our everyday lives. They can be about anything, and you can repeat them in your head as many times as you’d like.

What's The Difference Between Umbrella Affirmations vs Specific Affirmations? In addition, they can become an essential part of your growth process, and they are incredibly easy to craft. You can also put them in audio and listen to them on loop.

However, let’s say you want to repeat the same affirmations whenever you are listening or simply throughout the day.

What if you have too many affirmations? How are you going to remember them all?

That’s exactly where Umbrella Affirmations come in!

They differ ever-so-slightly from your regular and specific affirmations, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t just as effective!

So, are you ready to find out what’s the difference between Umbrella Affirmations and Specific Affirmations? And even discover some Umbrella Affirmations you can use daily?

Let’s get started!

SPECIFIC AFFIRMATIONS

Specific Affirmations are just your regular, old-fashioned sentences about a specific topic. Let’s make a practical example.

For instance, let’s say you really wanted to become more organized; a simple affirmations you could use is ‘I am the most organized person’. See? It’s simple and gets straight to the point.

This is the style you want to use for all of your affirmations, no matter the category. I will also link more helpful resources on how to create your own affirmations at the very end of the post. Moreover, here’s a link to my How To Create Believable Affirmations blog!

UMBRELLA AFFIRMATIONS

Similarly to Specific ones, Umbrella Affirmations are also incredibly simple in form, but cut you the time of repeating other sentences over and over.

As the name would suggest, in fact, they are created specifically to include all of your desires in one easy sentence. These affirmations don’t have to be wordy at all, and they can also be as varied as you’d like.

Now, before talking about which Umbrella Affirmations you can implement in your daily life, let’s talk about a few of the misconceptions I have heard about them; yes, we are so going to talk about limiting beliefs in this post as well!

IS IT TRUE THAT UMBRELLA AFFIRMATIONS AREN’T AS EFFECTIVE AS SPECIFIC ONES?

Sometimes I wonder what people who create this limiting beliefs really want to get; why would they be less effective?

They serve the same exact purpose, but sound different. You know exactly what you want, so it doesn’t really make that much of a difference using one or the other.

UMBRELLA AFFIRMATIONS CAN’T WORK BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO GENERAL

I feel like this implies that you think that your subconscious is either dumb or simply doesn’t work; I promise you, that’s not the case!

Your subconscious works 24/7, and never takes any breaks. It recognizes all of the affirmations (and content) you feed it, so why wouldn’t it be able to recognize these sentences?

UMBRELLA AFFIRMATIONS CAN’T WORK BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT GIVING YOUR MIND ANYTHING TOO SPECIFIC TO GO BY (VISUALIZATION-WISE)?

Let’s say something incredibly controversial, yet incredibly true. Visualization is a powerful tool, of course, but it’s not an essential one.

You can manifest things even if you aren’t the best at visualizing, and that’s a fact. In other words, you don’t have to visualize a scenario in your mind for it to become true.

The truth is that your subconscious knows exactly what you mean whenever you think ‘I have my desired _’ or anything else. Don’t let these dumb limiting belief hold you back!

UMBRELLA AFFIRMATIONS CAN WORK, BUT THEY NEED TO BE PAIRED WITH SPECIFIC ONES

No. Like, not at all.

Like we have been stressing since the very beginning of the post, your mind is the most powerful tool. In other words, it knows exactly what you want. Furthermore, it doesn’t necessarily need extra help remembering.

You can certainly pair them with specific affirmations, but you can very well use them alone. Similarly, you can use specific affirmations alone without Umbrella ones.

15 UMBRELLA AFFIRMATIONS YOU CAN USE

Firstly, I need to stress that these are just a few sentences to get you started. However, make sure to share more if you do have some!

And that’s it!
