Revolution Skincare Honey & Oatmeal Nourish & Glow Face Mask Review

Revolution Skincare Honey & Oatmeal Nourish & Glow Face Mask Review

Hey, pretty people!

Following my Beauty Bay haul, here is my review of the Honey & Oatmeal mask by Revolution Skincare.

I generally have combination to oily skin, but this summer I seem to have gotten overpowered by dryness. When I loading my cart on Beauty Bay I thought I would pick out something to try and fix this issue, and this one immediately caught my eye.

I have been testing this product out for a little while now, and can say I finally drawn my conclusions. What are they?

Let’s find out!

PACKAGING

I actually kind of like this minimalist vibe Revolution has adopted for this face mask line!

The mask comes in a white cardboard packaging with black and warm yellow writings all over it; there are also cute honey spills designs. Being someone who deeply enjoys home remedies, I found the honey drops to be a nice addition to the product’s aesthetics. God knows I have seen way too many of those on my kitchen counter!

You will also be able to find a couple of general specifics on the cardboard, like shelf life and ingredients list.

The mask comes in a clear container with a white cap and a frosted sticker with the name of the product and the brand on it.

I appreciate that the aesthetics of the packaging complete the ones of the actual product pretty well, and that the overall feeling remains one of a somewhat high quality product – even if it’s a drugstore item.

FORMULA AND APPLICATION

Much like Pink Clay (review here!), this face mask has a soft, sweet and yet distinct smell to it. You will be able to detect it right away, so if fragrances and skincare are not your combo this is definitely something you want to keep in mind. Also, this smell is strikingly sweeter and stronger than Pink Clay’s.

The color of the mask is a soft pastel yellow, way softer than what you may think. It also applies quite sheer, and given that the mask does not dry down you have to expect it to turn clear at the end of the routine.

When it comes to application, this product is truly nice to work with. The formula glides on the skin perfectly, sinking into every nook and cranny right away and covering the surface seamlessly – both when using your fingers or brush.

The mask washes off fairly easily, which is also a nice bonus!

PERFORMANCE

If you have dry skin, you will most likely love this mask – this much is fair to say.

The first thing you will notice once you have applied the product is the refreshing feeling you get out of it. You will be able to feel the freshness right away, which is perfect for these hot summer days!

Another detail worth mentioning is that the skin will absorb at least part of the formula. For the 15 minutes of application, you will feel the formulation sinking into the skin and moisturizing it without being greasy.

The consistency of the mask may be a little bit more like a gel, but once rinsed off the skin is left perfectly moisturized without having a heavy oily feeling (nor touch) to it. This detail makes it perfect for even a more oily skin type, since it adds just the right amount of moisture without it being heavy or greasy.

Once you have rinsed the mask off, the first thing you will notice is how much plumper your skin will look.

The glow is really subtle, and that’s the perfect point; you have a much plumper complexion that looks like it has been through a nice treatment. Also, the glow seems to really come from within rather than being a blinding highlighting treatment.

Lastly, one thing this mask does very efficiently is softening your skin. I did notice a major difference right after the first use, which I deeply enjoyed, and I could see it clearly even after just a couple of masks.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Here we are as always! All in all, would I recommend the Revolution Skincare Honey & Oatmeal Nourish & Glow face mask? Absolutely!

The product is overall pretty cheap for the quantity given, and the quality of the mask is the cherry on top.

A point I would like to make once again is that this formulation perfectly adapts to every skin type, from dry to oily. The moisture given is the perfect amount and perfectly penetrates the skin, allowing you to wash off the excess at the end of the treatment.

After washing off the product the skin not only feels soft and plump, but also quite refreshed. I would say it’s a great pick-up solution for hotter days!

Glow and plumping effect are basically the same thing here. If you expect to have a full blown-out highlighting treatment here, you may want to moderate your expectations. Will you see results after the first use? Yes, but they aren’t going to look like a month worth of treatments.

Your skin is going to look plumper and healthier everytime you apply this mask, and that’s that. Day by day, I am positive this product will guide you to your best complexion ever.
