Light and Dark Feminine appear to be the opposite sides of the same femininity spectrum, but are they really?
Well, the answer is a bit of an anti-climatic and complex one: kind of. I know it’s incredibly disappointing to hear, but allow me to elaborate a bit on some things.
This first counterpart features soft, pale, powdery shades in its aesthetic, and a much comforting aura.
A more nurturing and generally kind marks the character of the Light Feminine, with the ‘Clean Girl’ aesthetic being the most representative look of the whole movement.
The Dark Feminine energy is all about passion, mystery, effortless seduction.
The most representative figure can be identified in the Femme Fatale, a character we can find in movies and books alike – think of Megan Fox in “Jennifer’s Body” or Sharon Stone in “Basic Instinct“.
As far as the palette goes, we have plenty of darker hues (of course), as well as a nice red and nude shades.
