I have already brought a similar recipe a little while ago (which you can find here), but I thought I could elevate it a little bit. Besides elevating it, I thought I could add an interesting twist as well.
The original recipe is quite simple, just like this one, but does not have any actual plumping element to it. This one, on the other hand, is all about plumping!
You don’t really need a whole bunch of ingredients, either: the base of the formula is the exact same, but features a couple of different ingredients.
Don’t worry, though: they’re nothing difficult to find or crazy expensive!
So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Plumping Lip Oil?
Let’s get started!
YOU’LL NEED
- 3 Tablespoons of Sweet Almond Oil
- 1 Tablespoon of Honey
- 10 drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil
- 10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
- 1 Vitamin E Oil tab
- A container of choice (like an empty lip gloss or serum bottle)
Before jumping straight into the crafting process, let’s talk a little bit about these ingredients and why they make the perfect plumping lip oil.
SWEET ALMOND OIL
Sweet Almond Oil is the perfect base for this product, thanks to its moisturizing properties. This ingredient will take care of chapped lips like no other, helping fade fine lines as well.
HONEY
Honey is another powerful moisturizing element of this formula, and a nice thickening agent as well. It will help adding some glow to the lips, and keeping them plump for longer.
CINNAMON AND PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL
They both are great for moisturizing the lips and keeping them nice and fresh, and have amazing plumping benefits.
Alright, let’s get crafting!
The first thing you want to do is mix the Sweet Almond Oil and Honey together, and reach the most cohesive consistency possible.
I know, it’s the most annoying step ever. However, the perfect base is the key to have even more amazing and fast results! Also, this would be a great time to add the Vitamin E Oil tab.
Once you feel like you have reached the perfect smooth consistency, it’s time to add the essential oil drops.
You want to stir the mixture together once more, and make sure all the ingredients are as blended as humanly possible.
All you need to do now is pour the mixture into the selected container.
And your DIY Plumping Lip Oil is all ready to go!
