Hey, pretty people!

This water-based serum formula I have been experimenting with has been giving me many successful results, which is why I am always trying and use new ingredients to craft something new.

The solutions with lemon and orange peel and cucumbers have been very satisfying, don’t get me wrong, but I wanted to go out of my way and try something I wouldn’t exactly go for when it comes to skincare.

Granted I have previously brought skincare solutions with strawberries, this method is completely new.

Much like the previous versions, this Strawberry Water Face Serum is super lightweight and cheap to make, and will brighten your skin up in a heartbeat.

Moreover, it is full of natural fragrances that will make you smell like a treat!

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Strawberry Water Face Serum?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 2 teaspoons of Aloe Vera Oil/Gel
  • 2 teaspoons of Strawberries Infused Water
  • 1-2 Vitamin E Oil tab(s)
  • An empty serum bottle
  • A bowl

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly spend a few words on these ingredients and some of their benefits for your skin.

ALOE VERA GEL

Aloe Vera Gel is a recurrent ingredient in my DIY skincare formulas, and a generally popular one. It can help gently moisturize and exfoliate the complexion, all the while fighting acne and keeping breakouts at bay; also, it can help reduce the size of your pores. If you’d rather use Aloe Vera Oil, here are all the directions you’ll need to make it yourself! I personally decided to use the oil, because it was a lot easier to mix with the other ingredients.

STRAWBERRIES

Strawberries are rich in Vitamin C, and will enhance and nourish your complexion greatly; moreover, this ingredient will help you remove excess sebum from the skin – making its addition perfect if you have oily skin. Also, it can help fade acne and scars.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, let’s spend a few words on Vitamin E Oil. This ingredient is here to make sure you can safely store your strawberry water face serum outside of the fridge without it going bad. You could easily omit it altogether, but make sure to store the product into the fridge after every use. Even if you do end up adding it, make sure to keep a close eye on it either way!

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to make your strawberries infused water.

Allow the liquid to infuse even overnight, for a better chance of it releasing all the minerals and Vitamins we want! I left mine in my fridge overnight, and the next day I took the two tespoons out of it and immediately mixed them with the Vitamin E Oil.

Once your liquid is ready, it’s time to add the Aloe Vera Oil/Gel and mix everything together. This is especially necessary if you decided to use Aloe Vera Gel; you want the final consistency to be completely smooth, so take your time with this step.

Lastly, pour your formula into the empty serum bottle.

And your DIY Strawberry Water Face Serum is all ready to go!

  1. I don’t see directions for the strawberry infused water. What is the strawberry:water ratio? I assume distilled water?
