Hey, pretty people!

Before you get too excited about this product, I need to put a little disclaimer out.

This product in no way, shape or form can substitute an actual SPF Cream. It’s not what it aims to be, either. Please, DO NOT use it as an actual SPF Cream, because it won’t work!

Now that we have got that out of the way, it’s time to talk about what this product actually does.

As you may know, spf is essential in skincare. It keeps your skin protected from damages and aging signs, as well as keeping it nice and hydrated. This type of product needs to be re-applied throughout the day, and this is what this SPF Facial Mist will help you with!

It is a nice solution to put a protective layer on your skin, and won’t mess with your makeup if you intend to wear it. Just don’t drench your face!

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY SPF Facial Mist?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1 cup of Distilled Water
  • 3/4 cup of Aloe Vera Gel
  • 1 Tablespoon of SPF Cream
  • 3 Tablespoons of Jojoba Oil
  • 10 drops of Chamomile Essential Oil
  • 1-2 Vitamin E Oil tab(s)
  • A spray bottle

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and a few of their benefits for your skin.

ALOE VERA GEL

Aloe Vera Gel is a popular aftersun care product, and a key ingredient when it comes to protecting your skin against common issues like pollution and, on some level, sun. It is an amazing moisturizing element to this spray, and can also fight acne and imperfections.

SPF CREAM

SPF Cream is obviously the true SPF element here, but can help moisturize your skin as well. Moreover, it will help fight and prevent aging signs, wrinkles and fine lines.

JOJOBA OIL

Jojoba Oil is said to have a weak SPF power to it, and is yet another super moisturizing ingredient. Full of anti-inflammatory properties, this ingredient can help fight irritation and redness, as well as inflammation. Also, it can protect the skin and help it heal damages (like burns and wounds).

CHAMOMILE ESSENTIAL OIL

Chamomile Essential Oil is a quite gentle ingredient, and it has extraordinary healing properties. It can soothe burns and scars, as well as help treat acne and breakouts. Moreover, it can promote the health of your skin in general.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, let’s spend a couple of words on Vitamin E Oil. This ingredient is here to make sure you can safely store your DIY SPF Facial Mist outside of your fridge without it going bad. It is an optional ingredient, and I would suggest to store your product in your fridge at all times if you don’t plan to add it. On the other hand, even if you do add it, keep a close eye on it!

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to mix the aloe vera gel with the spf cream and essential oil drops. The consistency of this mixture is going to be mostly gel-like, and resemble a weird paste; you want to make it as smooth and as cohesive as possible, though.

Secondly, add the water to it and try and melt all the other ingredients into it – at least for the most part. This step is going to require a whole lot of time and patience, so be prepared! Also, note that you won’t have a completely liquid and smooth finish.

Lastly, pour the mixture into your spray bottle.

And your DIY SPF Facial Mist is all ready to go!
