Hey, pretty people!

Shampoo bars are the latest sustainable way to keep your hair looking and feeling silky and hydrated, and now you can make one at home with just a few simple ingredients. With this easy diy guide, you’ll be able to skip the harsh chemicals found in store-bought shampoo and create a customized shampoo bar for your unique hair type.

In addition to giving you soft, manageable hair, this economical homemade shampoo bar can save you money and time spent going to the store. In this article, you’ll learn what ingredients you’ll need for your diy shampoo bar, how to make it, and tips and tricks for getting the best out of your creation.

This shampoo is quite of a heavy one in terms of hydration, which is why I would recommend it for dry hair types; you are more than free to use on oiler hair, but just know it will worsen their condition.

This is a solution perfect for hair that need bounce and silkiness, as well as improve their smoothness. It is incredibly inexpensive and easy to make, and it will literally take you a couple of minutes to craft!

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Pure Silkiness Shampoo Bar pt.2?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1/4 cup of Jojoba Oil
  • 1/4 cup of your favorite Shampoo
  • 2 Tablespoons of Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons of Rice Water
  • 1-2 Vitamin E Oil tab(s)
  • A bowl
  • An ice tray

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.

JOJOBA OIL

Packed with Vitamins and minerals, Jojoba Oil is one of the best ingredients when it comes to moisturizing your hair. It is highly nourishing, and will make your hair silkier literally immediately. Also, it can help strengthen the hair and prevent breakage and hair loss.

HONEY

Honey is one of the most hydrating natural ingredients out there, and can immediately give your hair and scalp a makeover. It can help enhance your natural reflexes, as well as cleansing the scalp from dead skin cells and dandruff. Moreover, thanks to its moisturizing powers, it can add shine and contribute to a faster growth.

RICE WATER

Now, let’s talk about Rice Water. This ingredient is a new one on my blog, but I promise it will give you many reasons to fall in love with it! This starchy water is perfect to give your hair a whole lot of vitamins and minerals that will not only speed up its growth, but turn it into a much healthier one as well. Also, it will make your hair much smoother and more glowy.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, let’s talk about Vitamin E Oil. This ingredient is often featured in my DIY recipes to help extend their shelf life, but in this DIY Pure Silkiness Shampoo Bar it has a different meaning entirely. It can help boost shine and silkiness, effectively hydrating both hair and scalp and stimulating growth. Also, it can help reduce damages and split ends.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to mix your Vitamin E Oil with Jojoba Oil. Since these two ingredients have similar consistencies they will mix fairly easily with each other, ultimately improving the final consistency of the shampoo bar.

Now that your oil base is ready, I would suggest you to microwave your honey for 10-15 seconds. This will turn the consistency into a more liquid one, allowing you to blend it better with the other ingredients.

Once your honey is ready, add it to the oil base with the shampoo and stir everything for a couple of minutes. Keep going until everything looks almost completely smooth. Then, add the rice water and mix everything once more.

Lastly, pour the formula into your ice tray and pop it into the freezer to chill for a couple of hours.

And your DIY Pure Silkiness Shampoo Bar pt.2 is all ready to go!
