Hey, pretty people!

Ever since crafting and perfecting my DIY Shampoo Bar for Blonde Hair, I have been trying to use the same formula for multiple new shampoo ideas.

The first one coming to mind was a solution for darker hair.

The shampoo bar for blonde hair is supposed to enhance your natural reflexes and ultimately lighten them, and it works best on lighter hair. This recipe, on the other hand, is focused on enhancing your natural dark reflexes and give life and shine to your natural hair color.

It features a couple of the same ingredients used before, and you most likely already own everything you’ll need to craft this product.

So, are you ready to find out how to craft your own DIY Shampoo Bar for Dark Hair?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1/2 cup of Black Tea (I used Earl Grey)
  • 3 Tablespoons of Honey
  • A good squeeze of Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cup of Castile Soap
  • 15-20 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
  • An ice tray and a freezer

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and their benefits for your hair and scalp.

BLACK TEA

Black Tea is a great ingredient when it comes to adding shine and enhancing dark hair’s natural reflexes. Moreover, this liquid is the natural and soft version of a dye to your hair, which is why it is particularly amazing for darker locks.

HONEY

Honey not only can lighten up your hair, but moisturize it as well. It also promotes healthy hair and scalp, minimizing breakage and split ends. It’s pretty amazing when it comes to adding shine as well.

LEMON JUICE

Yet another ingredient that can lighten your hair, Lemon Juice is also a powerful liquid when it comes to detoxifying the scalp. In fact, besides enhancing your natural reflexes, this juice can help promote a healthier growth while getting rid of dandruff and itching.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL

Lastly, let’s spend a few words on Lavender Essential Oil. This ingredient can help your hair and scalp’s health greatly by fighting dandruff and itchiness; it can also promote shine and growth.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to make your black tea.

Let the bag infuse into the hot water for about 5 minutes, then take it out and allow the liquid to cool down for 15-20 minutes. Once the tea has cooled down, add the honey and lemon juice and stir all the ingredients together.

As soon as this liquid base is ready, it’s time to add the castile soap and essential oil drops and mix everything once more.

You want the texture to be completely smooth and cohesive, so keep going for a couple of minutes at least!

Lastly, pour the mixture into your ice tray and pop it in your freezer for a couple of hours before using it.

And your DIY Shampoo Bar for Dark Hair is all ready to go!
