Hey, pretty people!

Full of freshness and with a tinge of exotic scents to it, Mamma Mia is the perfect body scrub if you want to smell like a fruit-y fresh market all summer.

It is made from various interesting ingredients like Grapefruit Juice and Bergamot Essential Oil, and its citrus flavor is probably going to blow your mind right while you craft it. Also, it has a super cute and natural pink color to it!

This body scrub is the perfect product to use to bring some fun back into your skincare routine, but to start experiment with different and various ingredients as well.

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Lush Mamma Mia Body Scrub?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1/4 cup of Sea Salt
  • 3/4 cup of Pink Salt
  • 1/2 cup of Grapefruit Juice (preferably fresh)
  • 15 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil
  • 10 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • A bowl

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and a few of their benefits for your skin.

SEA SALT

Sea Salt, obviously, is the real exfoliating element of this body scrub. This ingredient works great to cleanse your pores deeply, as well as eliminate dirt and build-up that may cause acne; also, it is perfect to fight razor bumps, smooth out your skin and soften it.

PINK SALT

Another exfoliating element, Pink Salt is yet another ingredient that will help cleanse and detoxify your skin. It can help you deal with inflammation, redness and itchiness, and will help with acne and breakouts as well. Moreover, it can help retain moisture in the deeper layers of skin. This means it will help your skin look and feel healthier and younger!

GRAPEFRUIT JUICE

Since it is full of antioxidant properties, Grapefruit Juice can make your skin look younger by fighting and reducing aging signs like fine lines and wrinkles. Also, it can help even out and enhance your natural skintone, as well as act as a gentle cleanser.

GRAPEFRUIT ESSENTIAL OIL

Grapefruit Essential Oil is yet another crucial ingredient that can keep your skin looking and feeling nice and healthy; it can help fight acne and prevent breakouts, as well as heal cuts and wounds, possibly. Also, it can help enhance your natural complexion.

BERGAMOT ESSENTIAL OIL

Yet another citrus oil, Bergamot Essential Oil is full of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that make it perfect for acne-prone skin; in fact, it can not only help heal acne and prevent breakouts, but can control your natural oil production as well. Also, it adds a bit of a fragrant smell to your Mamma Mia Body Scrub!

VANILLA EXTRACT

An extra kick of flavor is never a bad thing, but there is a whole lot more to Vanilla Extract than just that. This ingredient can help promote the appearance of healthy skin by fighting imperfections like acne and discoloration, as well as fight redness and inflammation. Also, since it’s full of antioxidants, it can help fight and prevent aging signs – like wrinkles and fine lines.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to make your grapefruit juice. I would 100% recommend squeezing an actual fresh grapefruit and then using some of its pulp into the scrub itself. However, if this isn’t exactly an option for you, I would suggest going for the most organic and natural juice you can find.

Once you have your juice ready, add the essential oils’ drops and vanilla extract into it, and stir all the ingredients together. Then, add the liquid mixture to the salts.

Lastly, you can also add a bit of the pulp you squeezed out before.

And your DIY Lush Mamma Mia Body Scrub Copycat is all ready to go!
