Hey, pretty people!

I have been on a roll trying to find good copycat recipes for Lush products, and sometimes it’s not always super easy.

The same can be said for ‘Honey I Washed The Kids’ body wash recipe, which I am currently working on right now.

This body spray, on the other hand, was a tad bit easier to craft.

It is full of flavor, and can be used on your face as well. It is incredibly easy to craft, and you probably already have most of the ingredients needed at home!

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Honey I Washed The Kids Copycat Spray?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1 cup of Distilled Water
  • 3 Tablespoons of Aloe Vera Gel
  • 3 Tablespoons of Honey
  • 15 drops of Orange Essential Oil
  • 10 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
  • 5 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil
  • 1-2 Vitamin E Oil tabs (optional)
  • A spray bottle

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s talk a little bit about these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.

ALOE VERA GEL

Aloe Vera Gel is quite the popular skincare ingredient, and holds quite a few different benefits! In fact, it can help moisturize and gently exfoliate the skin, as well as fight acne and texture; moreover, this ingredient can make your skin plumper and healthier.

HONEY

Honey is quite the powerful antiseptic ingredient, and one of my all time favorites when it comes to skincare in general. It can help enhance your complexion and boost your glow, as well as fight acne and blemishes; also, it can help cleanse the skin.

ORANGE ESSENTIAL OIL

Orange Essential Oil is a popular citrus-y flavor, and it’s packed with interesting benefits for your skin. For starters, it promotes a brighter and more even complexion, while boosting the skin’s natural collagen production. Moreover, it is a great help when it comes to fighting acne and blemishes.

LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL

Lemon Essential Oil is yet another citrus-flavored liquid perfect for your skincare. It is perfect to detoxify the skin and promote a much healthier complexion, fighting acne and discoloration; it is also a perfect ingredient to keep excessive oil production at bay, and generally cleanse the skin as well.

BERGAMOT ESSENTIAL OIL

Let’s close the citrus part of this spray with Bergamot Essential Oil. This liquid is yet another cleansing and detoxifying element of this product, effectively promoting the skin’s health; it can help nourish and plump the complexion, as well as fight acne and unclog pores.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, let’s spend a couple of words on Vitamin E Oil. This ingredient is here to make sure you can safely store your Honey I Washed The Kids spray outside of the fridge without it going bad. If you don’t plan on adding it, make sure to store the product in your fridge at all times! Also, even if you do add it, keep a close eye on it either way.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to dissolve the honey into the water; while you’re doing that, it would be a good idea to add the Vitamin E Oil as well. This step is going to take a little bit, but is also a crucial one to get to that perfectly smooth consistency.

Now that your honey water is ready, it’s time to add the aloe vera gel and dissolve it into the liquid as well. Take your time stirring the liquid, and make sure all of the ingredients really got to know each other well before proceeding.

Once you have your liquid base ready, add the essential oils drops; then, mix everything together once again.

Lastly, pour the liquid into the spray bottle.

And your DIY Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Copycat spray is all ready to go!
