YOU’LL NEED

  • 1⁄4 cup of Green Tea
  • A Tablespoon of Honey
  • 1 cup of Castile Soap
  • 2 Vitamin E Oil tabs
  • An empty shampoo bottle

Before starting to craft, let’s talk a little bit about these ingredients and what this shampoo does to your hair.

GREEN TEA

Green tea is full of Vitamin B, an ingredient that will keep both your hair and scalp healthy and control split ends. Also, it’s pretty amazing when it comes to preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth!

HONEY

Honey is another great ingredient to this shampoo, and not only because it’s an amazing moisturizer. It also helps keeping your hair shiny and healthy, strengthening it and preventing its breakage.

VITAMIN E OIL

I added Vitamin E Oil because it will help preserve the shelf life of your shampoo, but it will also keep your hair and scalp healthy and shiny. It’s kind of an optional ingredient, but I highly suggest you add it to the mixture.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

The first thing you want to do is make your green tea. Leave the green tea bag in the hot water for about 5-7 minutes, then take it out and let the liquid cool down for another 15 minutes.

You want to add the honey to the cooled down liquid so it won’t lose any of its properties. You will still be able to mix it, so don’t worry. This is also the perfect time to add your Vitamin E oil tabs.

As soon as you have a perfectly smooth liquid, it’s time to pour your Castile soap into it and mix everything once again.

Mixing is truly the key here, so when you feel like you’re done give the mixture a couple more stirs.

All you have to do now is pour it into the bottle, and your shampoo is all ready to go!
