I have been facing a weird skin period lately, with my complexion being all over the place. It seems like it can’t decide between being too dry or just simply breaking out without giving me a break.
I have been trying quite a few new formulas of DIY masks, and I found myself gravitating towards this one very frequently these days. Much like all the other recipes I brought on the blog, this is a pretty simple and quick one, and will give you some results right away.
So, ready to find out what’s so good about this face mask?
Let’s get started!
Before starting crafting it, let’s find out something more about the ingredients of this mask.
Honey is the biggest moisturizing element of the product, but there’s actually so much more about it! It’s a natural antiseptic, meaning it will help you fight acne and blemishes, as well as deep-cleaning your pores. It will also add a nice glow to your complexion, which is never a bad thing!
Green tea is also a great ingredient to cleanse your pores and fight acne, among other benefits. It helps toning the skin and tightening it, It generally promotes healthier and more youthful looking complexion, as well as gently exfoliating it.
Lastly, Vitamin E oil. It’s truly up to you to add this ingredient or not, so do you! It helps fight texture and balance collagen production, promoting more youthful looking skin. Also, it reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
I personally prefer to melt the honey a little bit in the microwave, just for 30 seconds. This is also a great time to break your Vitamin E oil tab; since the honey will be hotter, the oil will melt easily into it.
Now it’s time to make your green tea; leave the bag infusing in the boiling water for about 5 minutes, then carefully take it out and plop the leaves into the honey. Give the mixture a couple of stirs to make sure the ingredients are blended together perfectly.
And your Exfoliating Face Mask is all ready to go!
