Hey, pretty people!

I have brought a few DIY winter-inspired face masks on the blog lately, and I have come up with many interesting options.

This time, it will be all about a classic drink: cinnamon vanilla latte.

This face mask is rather easy to make, and you most likely already own all the ingredients you’ll need! It will help you achieve clear skin super fast, and it smells delicious as well!

So, are you ready to find out how to make this Cinnamon Vanilla Latte Face Mask?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1 cup of Milk (whichever you like)
  • 2-3 Cinnamon Sticks or 1-2 teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract or 1 Vanilla Bean
  • 1 Tablespoon of Cornstarch

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s examine this ingredients and their benefits for your skin.

MILK

Milk is a recurrent ingredient in my Winter-Inspired DIY recipes, and has a few interesting benefits for your skin. For starters, milk has great moisturizing properties, and can help efficiently cleanse the skin and promote a clear and healthy complexion; also, it can help fight acne and blemishes.

CINNAMON

Cinnamon is the perfect ingredient if you aim at efficiently moisturizing the skin and making your complexion glow. Moreover, this ingredient can help fight acne and breakouts, as well as reduce discoloration and promote an even skintone.

VANILLA EXTRACT

You may think Vanilla Extract is only here for an extra kick of flavor (which isn’t a lie), and I believe you’ll be surprised to hear that this ingredient also has a few tricks up its sleeve when it comes to skincare. This ingredient is full of antioxidant properties that not only help keep the skin nice, healthy and hydrated; also, it has anti-aging properties that can also help smooth out annoying wrinkles.

CORNSTARCH

Lastly, let’s just spend a quick word on Cornstarch. This ingredient may seem like a wild card here, but I did not add it for its oil-control benefits. In fact, it’s just here to help you thicken up the milk.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

The first thing you want to do is heat up your milk, and keep going until it reaches a simmering point.

Once it’s there, add the cinnamon sticks or powder and the vanilla bean or extract. If you decided to go for the sticks and beans, it would be great to let them infuse for a bit and then take them out.

As soon as the milk is boiling and the ingredients are perfectly infused into it, it’s time to take about 3 tablespoons out of it and mix them with cornstarch.

Once the mixture has thickened up, allow it to cool down completely. And your DIY Cinnamon Vanilla Latte Face Mask is all ready to go!
