Hey, pretty people!

Summer is the perfect time to experiment with your hair, and a little bit of beach waves never hurt anybody.

You could easily run to the store and grab a handful of products to achieve the perfect messy, I-woke-up-like-this look, but crafting a product up yourself doesn’t sound bad at all. The greatest thing about this product is that you probably already own all the ingredients you need!

So, are you ready to find out what this spray is made of?

Let’s get crafting!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1 cup of Warm Water
  • 1 Tablespoon of Sea Salt
  • 2 teaspoons of Coconut Oil
  • 1 tab of Vitamin E Oil
  • 10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

Now, what’s so great about this product?

Most of the DIY texturizing sprays I have tried tend to make hair dry and damage-prone, but not this one. Adding coconut oil and Vitamin E oil will not only add some shine to it, but also protect and moisturize it.

Lavender oil will also make your hair nice and shiny, and it adds a pleasant fragrance as well!

Vitamin E Oil is kind of an optional ingredient, but adding it to the mixture will extend its shelf life and allow you to store it in your bathroom instead of the fridge.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

The first thing you want to do is melt your coconut oil; you want a clear and smooth liquid, and to that you’ll add lavender oil and Vitamin E oil. Stir the liquids together until they’re completely blended.

Now that your oils are ready, it’s time to add the water to them; lastly, pour the salt in and mix everything together once more.

All you have to do now is pour the mixture into the spray bottle, give it a nice shake and your texturizing spray is all ready to go!

I personally prefer to spray it right after I washed my hair, while they’re still wet. However, feel free to use it however you prefer!
