Hey, pretty people!

For some reason, I can imagine many confused people reading this post and going ‘Excuse me, Aloe Vera what?’; trust me, that was the same thing I thought a couple of weeks ago when I firstly saw someone use Aloe Vera Butter.

Aloe Vera Gel is definitely my favorite skincare and haircare ingredient, and I use it quite frequently. However, a little while ago I came across a post that depicted a new and improved formula. It didn’t really show many directions, and that immediately sparked my interest.

I needed to come up with a recipe, and try the product to myself.

After a little bit of thinking – and a whole lot of trial and error – I was able to come up with a satisfying recipe; just keep in mind, the particular quantities provided here are meant to last for only a couple of days, so that you’ll be sure your Aloe Vera Butter won’t go bad.

Ok, now that we have got the introduction out of the way, it’s time to talk about the real deal: what does this product actually do?

Well, a little bit of everything, to be honest!

This product is amazing for both skincare and haircare, providing essential moisture to them without being too heavy or turning them greasy. It’s great to fight acne, promote hair growth, and smooth out both skin and hair.

I love to use it as a sleeping face mask, but another use I found quite interesting was applying it to damp hair, right after a shower.

There really isn’t something this Aloe Vera Butter can’t do, and I encourage you to experiment with it!

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Aloe Vera Butter?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 3 Tablespoons of Cocoa Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon of Aloe Vera Gel
  • 1-2 Vitamin E Oil tab(s)
  • A blender
  • A container of choice

Before jumping straight into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and a few of their benefits for your skin and hair.

COCOA BUTTER

Cocoa Butter is quite a great moisturizing ingredient, and can also promote the appearance of healthier and younger skin. It can help smooth out cellulite and fight stretch marks as well. When it comes to haircare, cocoa butter will help you keep it nice and soft, promoting a healthier growth and adding shine.

ALOE VERA GEL

Aloe Vera Gel is perfect to gently moisturize your skin, and also has an amazing healing power. In fact, it can help with wounds, cuts and burns. Moreover, it can help reduce dark spots and enhance your natural complexion. When it comes to haircare, it can help promoting hair growth and hydration, acting as both a shampoo and a conditioner. Also, it has killer healing properties: it not only helps fight scalp irritation, but dandruff as well.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, let’s spend a few words on Vitamin E Oil, which is here as a preservative. In fact, this ingredient is here to make sure you can safely store your Aloe Vera Butter outside of the fridge without it going bad. You could easily omit it altogether, but make sure to store the product into the fridge after every use. Even if you do end up adding it, make sure to keep a close eye on it either way!

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to melt your cocoa butter completely. This step is going to take a few minutes to complete, but be patient and reach for that liquid and smooth consistency.

Once your cocoa butter is ready, it’s time to add the Vitamin E Oil to it; this will create your buttery base.

Then, pop this base into your blender and add the aloe vera gel to it; blend the ingredients until the mixture becomes smooth and the consistency is cohesive.

Lastly, take your formula out of the blender and pour it in your container.

And your DIY Aloe Vera Butter is all ready to go!
