D.I.Y. 3 Ingredients Body Glow Spray + Makeup Setting Spray!

D.I.Y. 3 Ingredients Body Glow Spray + Makeup Setting Spray!

Hey, pretty people!

Body Glow is no innovation in the beauty world, but it recently came back stronger than ever thanks to Rihanna and her Fenty Beauty’s “Body Lava”.

The “Body Lava” concept is great, but is entirely based on a “moisturizer gel”, which may give you a pleasant glowy effect but also a quite annoying sticky feeling. Wouldn’t it be better to have the same plump and blinding effect with less tackiness?

It would, and it can happen – even more easily than you may think!

This D.I.Y. Body Glow spray is the perfect solution for summer parties and cocktails, and also a great emergency setting spray! However, you must keep in mind that the result won’t suit the most oily skin type (you can read here for another 2-ingredients setting spray).

Also, did I mention you probably already have all the ingredients at home? And that it will take you only a couple of minutes to make?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • A spray container (duh)
  • ¼ cup distilled water (about 60 ml)
  • 2 tsp baby oil
  • 2 tsp shimmer eyeshadow or highlighter (or more, if you want!)

You can also add up to 10 drops of essential oils if you’d like.

What I like best about this Body Glow is that you can choose the eyeshadow to perfectly suit your skin tone. Also, you can mix and match to create a multi-dimensional glow!

I like to use this particular Baby Oil mainly because it contains Aloe Vera. This ingredients makes it a better moisturizer and it enhances the shining potential!

DIRECTIONS

First of all, I like to prepare the eyeshadow (this is also the part where I die a little inside).

A couple of months ago I ordered some makeup on revolutionbeauty.com, and received a free mystery bag with 25$ worth of products. Among all the cool stuff, there were two eyeshadow palettes: “Clubbed to Death” and “Future Bright“;

I’m using the silver eyeshadow from both of them (they are not available anymore, unfortunately).

I’m crushing the pigment as best as I can, in hope it will mix better with the water and the baby oil. Also, it’s probably worth mentioning it’s a little bit more than 2 teaspoons.

Once I’m finally satisfied with the glittery dust I created, it’s time to assemble the actual spray.

Mesmerizing!

I start off by pouring the eyeshadow into the spray container, and then add the baby oil. Lastly, the distilled water.

Now, it’s time to close the bottle and shake, shake, shake! And that’s it!

I like to carry this Body Glow in my purse when I’m out, mainly in summer to keep me hydrated. It’s a great emergency setting spray and a must-have if you’re a lover of glitter and shine! Keeping it in your refrigerator and taking it with you when you go out will make it the perfect refreshing mist, too.

Just a little tip: shake well before use.
