Light Academia is no stranger to this blog.
We have talked about it at length in this post, where we discussed the ins and outs of the fashion aspect of this aesthetic. Before you proceed with this article, I recommend checking that one out!
In this post, we’re going to create a small capsule wardrobe with just 20 items, and have it embody the Light Academia aesthetic to the max. We’re going to split it into 3 categories: Tops, Bottoms and Outerwear.
So, are you curious to find out how to create the perfect Light Academia capsule wardrobe?
Let’s get started!

Before jumping to the details, let’s quickly talk about this aesthetic (fashion-wise, of course).
Much like its darker counterpart, Light Academia is characterized by academic-style clothing – however, the color palette is a much paler one.
In fact, if Dark Academia prefers earthier and more saturated shades, this particular aesthetic does the opposite. Beige and light brown are used as statement hues now, instead of being mere buffer blocks.
This style is slightly less uptight and more relaxed compared to Dark Academia, and it’s perfect for all those people who prefer a less severe approach to academic fashion.
I have selected a total of 8 items to make up the ‘Tops’ part of this capsule wardrobe.
The bottoms part of this Light Academia capsule wardrobe is made up from 7 items, most of them being trousers.
This last section features a total of six items, between jackets, coats and, of course, shoes.
