Hey, pretty people!

It’s been a hot minute now since I posted any lip scrubs, and I thought it was the perfect time to bring them back!

I recently finished mine (I was using the Ultimate Lip Plumping Scrub), but to be honest I had started growing bored of it. The formula is great in my opinion, but there was still room to spice things up. Also, I had no brown sugar in the house to use.

After putting aside the idea of using basic white sugar, I finally decided to go for Hymalayan Pink Salt. I quite enjoy using it for my body scrubs, so I thought I would give it a chance and see how it would perform on my lips.

This DIY Pink Salt Lip Scrub will smooth out fine lines and leave your lips surprisingly moisturized, as well as provide a nice plumping and cooling effect. Interesting, huh?

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Pink Salt Lip Scrub?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1 teaspoon of Honey
  • 1 teaspoon of Coconut Oil
  • A Vitamin E Oil tab (or 1 teaspoon Vitamin E Oil)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Pink Salt
  • Up to 5 drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil
  • Up to 5 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil

SMALL DISCLAIMER!

Please note that this measurements won’t fill an empty container. Therefore, if you plan on making more scrub to store, feel free to double the quantities.

Since there really isn’t too much to say about these ingredients, let’s jump into the crafting process!

Firstly, you want to melt your coconut oil. You can also add the honey to it and let them melt together, so you’ll be sure to have a perfectly smooth liquid to work with!

Now that you have your liquid base ready, it’s time to add the Vitamin E Oil (be careful if you’re breaking a tab into the mixture!). Then, you’ll want to add the essential oils’ drops.

Stirring is an essential part in most of my DIYs, and also in this one. If you feel like your mixture is all combined, give it an extra couple of stirs. You certainly can never be too sure!

Once you have a smooth and perfect liquid, pour the brown sugar into it and mix everything some more.

Finally, your lip scrub is all ready to go!
