I think that DIY Body Scrubs are an incredibly underrated DIY skin care project to try out. Criminally underrated, even.

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1 cup of Himalayan Pink Salt
  • 1/2 cup of Coconut Oil
  • 15-20 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
  • 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
  • 1-2 Vitamin E Oil tab(s)
  • A bowl

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and a few of their benefits.

HIMALAYAN PINK SALT

Himalayan Pink Salt is undoubtedly one of the most interesting ingredients when it comes to skincare, and a relatively new one in this area as well. This salt can help cleansing the skin and the pores, as well as treating and preventing acne and breakouts. It does that by detoxifying the skin, leaving it clean and much softer. Moreover, this ingredient will help you control oil production leaving the skin glowing and looking much healthier.

COCONUT OIL

Coconut Oil is an amazing moisturizing ingredient for your skin, the perfect addition here to prepare your skin for more moisturizer later. It is great to help you fight cellulite and imperfections (like acne), as well as hyperpigmentation and razor bumps. Also, it is a good ingredient to use either before or after shaving.

LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL

Now, let’s talk about Lemon Essential Oil. This liquid is the perfect detoxifying element of this scrub, helping the skin heal from acne, breakouts and wounds; moreover, it can help gently exfoliate and enhance your natural complexion.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL

Lavender Essential Oil. This oil is one with the best properties for both skin and hair, including providing moisture, refreshing and fighting acne and imperfections.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, let’s talk about Vitamin E Oil. This ingredients is amazing to deeply nourish your skin and make it look nice and healthy; it is also great to fight texture and promote an even skintone.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, let’s focus on adding the Vitamin E Oil to the coconut oil; be careful while breaking the tab!

Once the two are combined, it’s time to melt your coconut oil completely; a little trip into the microwave should suffice.

Now that you have your oily base ready, it’s time to add it to the Himalayan Pink Salt.

Lastly, add the essential oils and stir the mixture for a couple of minutes.

And your DIY Pink Lemonade Body Scrub is all ready to go!
