Hey, pretty people!

Whenever I am making some DIY skincare or haircare product, I frequently suggest adding a couple of Vitamin E oil tabs to it. I always say it’s to preserve the shelf life of the item and allowing you to store outside of the fridge; this is true, but that’s not all this ingredient does.

What is great about this DIY Vitamin E spray is that you can easily use it as a skincare supplement, as well as a haircare one. I wouldn’t really suggest you to use it as a makeup setting spray, since it tends to be a little bit more moisturizing than you probably would like to.

Now, are you ready to find out how to make this spray?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 5 Vitamin E Oil Tabs
  • 1 cup of Distilled Water
  • 5 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil (optional)
  • 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil (optional)
  • A spray bottle

Before getting started, let’s talk a little bit about this formula. You should know that all these ingredients give benefits for both hair and skin.

VITAMIN E OIL

Vitamin E oil, the star of this spray, is a powerful nourishing and antioxidant-full ingredient. It’s also a great product to use if you want to fight texture and promote a softer and healthier looking complexion; moreover, it adds a nice glow to the face. When it comes to hair, this ingredient helps supporting the health of the scalp, as well as hair growth. Also, it’s a great way to add some shine to the hair!

Now, let’s talk about the essential oils. I personally preferred to add them to give some products some more benefits, but you don’t necessarily need to.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL

Lavender essential oil is kind of a wild card here, meaning it does a little bit of everything. It’s another moisturizing ingredient, but its true power is in fighting acne and redness; this applies to hair as well, where this oil helps promoting scalp health and hair growth.

TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL

Lastly, Tea tree oil is a great addition if you want to fight acne and texture, but that’s not it. It helps moisturize both face and scalp, as well as keep the scalp nice and healthy.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

I prefer to mix the ingredients in a separate bowl, but feel free to use only the spray bottle to make the product.

Once you have your water ready, simply add the essential oil drops (if you want) and break the vitamin E oil tabs into the liquid. Be careful while doing so, and use a pin to avoid hurting yourself.

Mixing is key, so spend a couple of minutes stirring the liquids together. When you feel like you’re done, give the product a couple of stirs more.

All you need to do now is pour the liquid into the spray bottle, and your DIY Vitamin E spray is all ready to go! Make sure to always shake it for a little bit before using it, and store it in the fridge to add a refreshing element to it.
