Hey, pretty people!

DIY Green Tea Oil - Perfect for Skin and Hair, Only 4 Ingredients!

Green Tea is one of the most popular skincare ingredients at the moment.

There are quite a few green tea-based skincare products out there many people seem to swoon over, and they’re usually quite pricey.

This liquid has been featured in DIY skincare and haircare solutions equally on my blog, and I am quite excited to bring it back.

I think this Green Tea Oil is one of the most versatile products ever, and it’s quite easy and cheap to make.

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Green Tea Oil and how you can use it on your skin and hair?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 4 Tablespoons of Aloe Vera Oil
  • A Green Tea bag
  • 1 teaspoon Green Tea (in liquid form)
  • 1-2 Vitamin E Oil tab(s)

Before jumping straight into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and a few of their benefits for both your skin and hair.

ALOE VERA OIL

Aloe Vera Oil is a recurrent ingredient in my DIY skincare formulas, and a generally popular one. It can help gently moisturize and exfoliate the complexion, all the while fighting acne and keeping breakouts at bay. Also, it can help reduce the size of your pores. If you don’t know where you can get aloe vera oil, here is everything you need to know to make it at home!

When it comes to haircare, Aloe Vera Oil can help you fight dandruff and irritated scalp in general; moreover, it definitely helps when it comes to adding shine to dull hair. It is perfect to moisturize and condition, as well as detangle.

GREEN TEA

Green Tea is not only a delicious beverage, but a neat skincare ingredient, too! It will help prevent breakouts and fight acne, and also help unclog pores. Moreover, this liquid will promote healthier and glowing skin, all the while evening out the complexion.

When it comes to haircare, Green Tea has amazing antioxidant properties, meaning it will be a valuable help to fight and prevent dandruff. Also, it can help preventing hair loss and promote hair growth.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, let’s spend a few words on Vitamin E Oil. This ingredient is here to make sure your chamomile tea oil won’t go bad, and you will be able to store it outside of the fridge. If you don’t plan on adding the tabs, remember to keep the product in the fridge; only take it out when you need to use it.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to focus on brewing your green tea.

I would recommend pouring the water in the cup and letting it cool down for 20 minutes. Once the water has turned lukewarm, add the tea bag and let it infuse for 5 minutes. Then, take the tea bag out and leave it aside to cool for another couple of minutes.

Once both the liquid and the tea bag are nice and room temperature, open the tea bag and pour the leaves into the aloe vera oil; after that, add the green tea liquid and Vitamin E oil. Stir the ingredients for two minutes, then allow the mixture to sit for about an hour.

Once the hour has passed, sift the leaves out of the oil.

Lastly, pour the liquid into an empty, clean bottle. I used a serum bottle, but feel free to pick whichever container you prefer!

And your DIY Green Tea Oil is all ready to go!
