You’re probably confused by my casual use of ‘kind of’, as Light and Dark are actually opposites, but that’s not quite the case here.
The Light Feminine energy is a nurturing, compassionate, kind one whose central aesthetic (physically, at least) can be represented with the ‘Clean Girl’.
Its main hues are beige, cream, pale shades and nude tones (for your complexion).
The Dark Feminine energy uses the Femme Fatale aesthetic as one of its pillars, and represents a more passionate, mysterious, effortelessly seductive character.
Its palette features dark, rich hues like black, deep reds and anything of the sort.
Now that we know the general themes of these aesthetics, we need to ask ourselves this pivotal question: how can we choose between them?
The obvious answer is ‘you can pick both’ (which is definitely true), but there’s a bit more depth to it.
