4 Skin Care Tools Worth The Investment

Hey, pretty people!

I’ll bet that even if you aren’t too interested in the skin care world, you have at least heard about a couple of interesting skin care tools. And maybe wanted to give them a go, too!

Some of them are more modern ones, whilst others come directly from old traditions. These latter items usually tend to be the more popular ones, no surprise here! However, it is surprising to not that their notoriety has nothing but skyrocketed these past few years.

When examining my skin care stash a few days ago, I suddenly stopped and considered how many different trinkets I have accumulated throughout the years.

Granted, there’s not too many of them, but that got me thinking. Why did I buy this thing? Did I truly see potential in it or was it more of an aesthetic-based decision? A little bit of both, if I had to be completely honest.

In this article, I am going to do a run-down of all of the skin care tools I have bought and used. And tell you which ones I *actually* believe are worth the investment, of course.

They’re not all super expensive, don’t you worry! In fact, I am pleased to say they all come at a reasonable price – some of those coming straight from the drugstore.

So, are you ready to find out which Skin Care Tools I 100% would recommend?

Let’s get started!

FACE ROLLER

If you have ever tried a sheet mask, you best believe you have never tried it with a face roller. Those vibes are immaculate, I’ll tell you that.

This tool is believed to have been invented during the Qing Dynasty, and has recently risen to major popularity again. Almost every single skin care/makeup brand has a face roller in their catalogue, now!

Face rollers may seem like a useless tool to work with, but you’d be surprised how many interesting benefits they can provide. Interestingly enough, I found this compelling study suggesting that massaging your face with this tool may help reduce anxiety.

Using a face roller is a good way to stimulate blood flow, thus enhancing the appearance of the skin. It’s an incredibly amazing method to unwind during the Summer, since it can provide a cooling effect. And you don’t even need to store it in your freezer for that! I want to direct you to this article I found, and that will discuss face rolling benefits in far more detail.

Personally, I love to use my face roller whenever I apply a moisturizer or a face mask.

I find that it helps the formula penetrate the skin better, and does help a great deal when it comes to relaxing at the end of a long day!

GUA SHA

Could we talk about face rollers, but willingly leave out gua shas? No, I don’t think so!

Even more than face rollers, gua shas are the true star when it comes to skincare trends. An ancient and traditional Chinese practice, this item has its origins in East Asian medicine – much like the face roller.

Its shape may remind you of a spatula, and there are a few different ones to choose from. It usually comes in different materials, too – rose quartz and steel being the most popular ones. That’s a far cry from the original buffalo horn!

I am sure that by now you have seen at least one tutorial on how to use a gua sha. I am also certain all of them talk about how to sculpt your face! Don’t get me wrong, that’s incredible, but I would love to tell you about my personal favorite benefit of a gua sha; headache relief.

I suffer from migraines; whenever I feel one building up and I am at home, I like to turn to a quick gua sha massage first. Of course, medicine is the numer one place you should turn to with these kinds of issues, and I am by no means suggesting otherwise. It’s just a nice added bonus, you know?

I would like to recommend this article about gua sha benefits (which includes a couple of fascinating studies), and this other report that focuses more on its origins.

EYE CREAM APPLICATOR

I am sure this little skin care tool has a much cooler (and different) name than this, but for the life of me I can’t find it anywhere. So here you have the eye cream applicator I bought last year on YesStyle!

I use this tool every single day, morning and night, and I can’t get enough of it. I will advocate its benefits vehemently, and I will say that if there is only one thing from this article you want to invest in, it 100% should be this one!

This applicator has a rolling ball at the top, which helps spreading your eye cream and makes it easier to absorb. You can cover a great deal of skin with this small device, which is quite handy when it comes to eye cream. Moreover, it provides an amazing cooling effect – quite effective to use at the end of an excruciating long day.

I have noticed a big difference when it comes to de-puffing and texture in general. Truthfully, it has made quite an impact on my dark circles as well.

Moreover, since it hydrates better, I have observed that my concealer tends to sit better on my skin, too.

LIP EXFOLIATING BRUSH

Here we are at last!

I wanted to close off this article with the most recent addition to my skin care tools collection, which also happens to be the cheapest option of the ones we have talked about so far.

This Lip Exfoliating Brush by Beauty Bay is an amazing tool to use daily, morning and night. You can easily carry it with you when you’re travelling, too. It’s small, practical, and incredibly easy to use as well – and it costs less than 5$!

Overall, it’s the perfect item to start your lip care routine with. Whether you plan to invest more money later on or prefer to stick to a drugstore price, you’ll definitely keep coming back to this brush. It’s cheap and re-usable, and will last you years. Come to think of it, it’s a nice eco-friendly choice, too!

If you don’t want to spend 10+ minutes on a lip mask, give this brush a go. I promise you, you totally won’t regret it!

♡  Thank you so much for reading! I hope we kept each other company for a while. Have a wonderful day! ♡
